Slideshow from Brighton

Tanya put together this slideshow from Brighton. Hope you enjoy!

Rodizio Rico, Brighton and The Dark Knight

So this weekend was pretty eventful.

Friday night was spent at a Brazilian restaurant - Ridizio Rico. For 20 pounds you get to eat all the meat that you can in 2 hours. There is a salad bar and then guys come around with meat on skewers and they cut off pieces for you. It was awesome! We got paid on Friday and decided that it was time to splurge. It was well worth it, although we all had to be rolled home because we had eaten too much!

Saturday was 80s and sunny so we decided to head to Brighton, a city on the Southern coast of the UK. It was great to be by the water again! I miss seeing water. I'm use to playing in the water every weekend at a cabin. Brighton also has a pier that has a bunch of arcade games on it. We played some games and then stopped outside a pub and had a few pitchers of beer. It was great to drink beer out in the sun!

Sunday consisted of finishing off my individual and group papers for the last unit. Now I am officially halfway through my MBA! Then Sunday night Tanya, Aaron and I saw the Dark Knight. It was a great movie! And Heath Ledger is terrifying as the joker. If you haven't seen it I suggest seeing it. Aaron and I might go again so we can see it at the IMAX (it was all sold out this weekend).

Some Inspiration

So I've been feeling a little down. Thought I would share an inspirational email that I got a while back.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.. If you
get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it
changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy,
they just promised it would be worth it.

Half way through London classes!!

Just got done with class, which means that I am officially half way through my MBA classes in London. AWESOME!!! I'm getting that much closer to receiving a piece of paper that says that I'm extra smart!

Uncle Paul was here this weekend. He is on his way to Tanzania and had a couple days layover in London. We went out for dinner, a few pints, and a movie on Saturday night with Tanya and Aaron. We saw Wall-E. I wasn't that impressed :( Thought it was going to be a little cuter.

Other than that it was a pretty normal work week. This coming weekend should be more interesting. Our plans are to go out to a Brazlian restaurant on Friday night. We get paid that day and we (Tanya, Aaron, and I) are deciding to splurge a bit! It's 20 pounds for all you can eat grilled meat. I'll let you know how good it is!! Saturday a few of us are planning on heading down to Brighton. I think it's in Southern England. Don't really know too much about it yet. People have said that is a lovely place. Then on Sunday we are planning on seeing the Dark Knight movie at the IMAX theater. Should be a really good weekend!!

Long work week

So again I didn't do much this last week. The work week was REALLY REALLY long and boring. My boss was in New York, so I didn't have that much to do. So the days dragged on and on :( But at least I had time to work on my group project that is due this Sunday. 30 minute presenation EEWWW. Not looking forward to it.

Tanya and I did get to go swimming this weekend though. And we got to see a dog show at one of the parks near our aparment. Now it wasn't exactly a real dog show. One of the competitions was which dog could wag it's tail the most. It was pretty cute!! We also stopped by a festival near our apartment and got to pot some plants. Tanya and I planted leaf salad and spinach. and we were also able to decorate a pot and got to put a cactus in it. And we each got a balloon!!! Mine was green and Tanya's was pink. We were like two little kids!

Jodi

So I called Jodi today and she said that I had to write a blog because every Tuesday when she gets to work she reads it.

Since the only thing that happened this weekend was class (oh yeah and I saw wanted) I have decided to put up a joke that Shadders emailed me today.

A papa mole, a mama mole, and a baby mole all live together in a little
mole hole.

One day, papa mole sticks his head out of the hole, sniffs the air and
says, "Yum! I smell maple syrup!"

The mama mole sticks her head out of the hole, sniffs the air and says,
"Oh, Yum! I smell honey!"

Now the baby mole is trying to stick his head out of the hole to sniff the
air, but can't because the bigger moles are in the way.

This makes him whine, "Geez, all I can smell is .... moleasses!"

Does that work for you Jodi?! So now that I have written a blog for you, you gotta come and visit me in London!!! Love ya <3
