Fingerprinting

I got a Gingerkatie in the mail today!!! For those of you who know my friend Katie (who I met in Vienna, Austria) you might understand. She sent a holiday card for the fam and inside the card were two paper gingerbread people with Katie's head on them! I was told that they weren't edible (darn!), that Gingerkatie had never been to London (you think that was a hint?!), and that I had to share with Laura Miller :( booo! So now Laura and I are going to have to hang out together before I fly out and it looks as if I'll have a travel buddy (Gingerkatie!). I'll post pictures of the two of us once I get setup in London!

I have accomplished getting fingerprinted for my Visa. I drove down to an Application Service Center in St. Paul today. It was easy and only took about 15 minutes. The only bad things were that someone backed into my car in the parking lot afterwards and I left my book at the Application place (didn't realize that until I got to the gym and wanted to read my book while biking :( ) damn! I brought a book because I figured I would be sitting around for a while, but turned out I didn't need it. My car only has a minor scratch so nothing to worry about. Only need it for the next week and 4 days anyways!

Tonight I am going to J'cous for drinks with the softball ladies. They're sooo much fun and I'm going to miss playing with them :( Tomorrow I have lunch with Marge and Tom. Then I'm planning on dropping something off for MJ at her work. Then tomorrow evening I think mom and I are making buns for me to bring with snowshoeing this weekend. I'll have to talk to her tonight about it. Thursday morning/afternoon Becker and I are heading up towards Detroit Lakes to spend the night at Jodi's, then Friday we head further north for a weekend of snowshoeing with his family. Never been snowshoeing before. Hopefully I survive!

We have to come home early Sunday morning because I have my last hockey game at 1:30pm.

I haven't started packing at all yet. Think thats a problem?! I'm pretty free next week so hopefully I will have time!!

Class Schedule for MBA in London

All right . . . . .

I have received my class schedule for when I am in London. I have put all the dates I have class on my yahoo calendar. You can get to my calendar link either by clicking on the following link My Calendar March 2008- June 2009 or from my webpage
www.geocities.com/sarah_rennweg (Righthand Link titled 'My Calendar March 2008 - June 2009'). The easiest way to see what days I am busy is by clicking on the Month tab above today's date. You can move from month to month by clicking on the month links on the lefthand side.

Now this is VERY important information for all of you who are planning on visiting me. There are a couple of weekends each month I have class. So, if possible, please try and schedule your visit to take place during the weekends I won't be in class! That way I will be able to show you the sights. Unless you don't want to hang out with me. In that case come whenever you want!

Hope to see some of you in London!!!!

Last Day at Hardrives

My new last day at Hardrives is next Friday, Feb. 15th. It was originally going to be Friday, Feb. 29th, which is the Friday right before I leave. Now I will have two weeks off before flying out. Which will be VERY nice. I will have lots of time for packing up my room, bathroom and suitcase and getting all the last minute paperwork sent to Mountbatten. I appreciate the opportunities that Hardrives gave me; however, I know it wasn't the right position for me. I think the international scene is more my style and hopefully through this internship and grad school program I will be able to score a job working internationally. There is way too much to be seen in this world.

The getting together and eating out thing has already started! Before I left for Vienna, Austria I went out to eat for a week straight. It got a little fattening! But you gotta see everyone before ya leave! Next week I have dinner on Wednesday with my co-worker Justin and his wife Bonnie. I will miss those two
:( Thursday I am having lunch with two other co-workers, Mindy and Kris. And Tuesday the 19th I am getting together for drinks/appetizers with the softball team. Its sad that I won't be playing this summer. It'll be weird. I've played softball every summer since I was 8! Jen and I also have to go to Buffalo Wild Wings a time or two before I leave. Gotta see our great bartenders Candice and Jackie!

Three weeks and 2 days left until take off!! It's so weird to think that a month from now I will be completing my first week in London. I will have started my internship and perphaps be a day away from starting classes. Ewww classes!

Hope everyone is doing well and hopefully I am able to see you before take off time!

Super Bowl Weekend

This weekend was pretty productive. Well kind of! I took half a day on Friday. With my half day off, I was able to get my haircut, my driver's license renewed, and a passport picture to send with my visa application taken. Then Friday night I went bowling with Liz, Shad, Brian, Christi, Jen, Matt, Laura, Matt, Jen, Becker and Dad. Becker was talking ALL week about how he was going to beat me at bowling on Friday. So of course I tried harder and beat him 3 out of 4 games!! My highest score was 151!!! WOW! I'm getting good at bowling! Saturday I had a hockey game. We actually had a decent number of players, 9. That meant that we had 2 full forward lines. It was nice! We were ahead most of the game 2 - 0 and then they scored 2 goals in about 30 seconds. Not good! They ended up scoring 1 more goal making it 2 - 3; however, were tied it up with 34 seconds left in the game. We were happy with a tie! We were playing against one of the top teams. Then Saturday night Liz and Shadders had a party for Shad's 31st b-day (old man!) and Jen's 27th b-day (not quite as old!). It was fun. We watched the Wild game, gopher game, and then played some Wii. Cow racing is the coolest!! Then Sunday was Shad and Liz's superbowl party. I should have bet on the game because I would have bet on NY and would have won lots! Oh well. I also got microsoft word on my computer, which means that I can check one more thing off my list. So it looks like this weekend I was able to check 4 things off of my Pre-London list and also have fun with the cousins. Exciting!
